Recommended Denver Summer Events and Attractions
Don't miss Denver's hot spots this summer!
Where has this summer gone? It is already mid-July and before we know it, the snow will be flying and the warm days of summer will be a distant memory. TeamCox Realtors has compiled a list of places and events that are a must for Denver residents and visitors to enjoy before the summer is over.
Larimer Square: With its top-notch shopping, dining and nightlife, Denver’s historic first block is the perfect place to spend your summer days and evenings Upcoming summer events include Mariel’s 26th Anniversary Party on July 27th and the Puttin’ Pub Crawl on August 18th.
Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition: This exhibit, which opened in late June, runs through January 22nd at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. It is a perfect summer outing for all of the history buffs looking for an interesting summer excursion.
Colorado Rapids: In April, The Colorado Rapids, Denver’s Major League Soccer team, opened a brand new state of the art stadium, Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. It’s worth the drive to Commerce City to check out one of the country’s premier soccer venues, especially if you are a fan. The MLS All-Star game is also at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on July 19th.
Taste of Colorado: This event, held in Denver’s Civic Center Park, is a longtime Denver favorite over Labor Day weekend (Friday, August 31 through Monday, September 3, 2007). Admission is free but bring plenty of cash if you want to sample some of Denver’s best restaurants.
Coors Field: Our Colorado Rockies have had their ups and downs this year but what is summer without a good old-fashioned baseball game at a beautiful stadium? The team is right at .500 right now so they need fans to cheer them on to a winning season.
