Employment Outlook in Colorado Pretty Rosy
If finding a new job is a priority for you in 2007, you may be in real luck. Respondents to a recent survey conducted by the Mountain States Employers Council and the Rocky Mountain News replied that 49% were planning on expanding their workforce next year. Forty six percent planned no hiring additions and the remaining 5% plan some staff cuts. This data was compiled from 242 anonymous respondents of MSEC members.
This news might be met with mixed feelings. If you are looking for a new position, the news will be good. On the other hand, employers looking to hire may find the field for high quality employees tightening. These results suggest that while employers remain optimistic about the economy, they are also cautious about hiring too many workers.
