COLORADO AT FULL EMPLOYMENT

A Great Time to Find a Job in Denver

This is great news if you are in the market for a job in Colorado.  The April unemployment figure as reported by the Colorado Department of Labor and published in the Rocky Mountain News dipped to a very low 3.5%, the lowest level since June 2001.

The information/telecom sector added over 1,000 jobs over the past year.

Colorado added 47,600 jobs over the past 12 months.  Leading the way were professional and business services, health services, leisure and government.

While Colorado boasts a 3.5% unemployment rate, the nations jobless rate comes in at 4.5%.

While this is wonderful news if you are a job seeker, this report may be less than great for the hiring employer.  From that side of the table it can translate to fewer quality applicants and higher wages to attract the right candidate.
